Working with PdN
Spriting with PdN, Paint.NET.
Please note,
you will NEED Pyrochild's plugins in order to do these.
Got Glow?
A pretty simple way for a 'glow' or 'aura' or 'basic neon' effect.
You can just recolour a sprite or just use a normal sprite.
For example;
Just paste the Pokémon sprite.
If it has a WHITE or NON-TRANSPARENT background, delete it by using the maigc wand tool, then erase it.
A normal Pokémon sprite should instantly come with a transparent background,
e.g
After pasting, DESELECT it by pressing Ctrl + D.
You need Pyrochild's plugins for this. I will explain how to get it if need be.
Go to 'Effects'.
Select 'Object'.
Select 'Drop Shadow'.
You can select how blurred the glow can be. (Default = 5)
Select the colour.
If you want a shadow-like effect, change the areas on the y-axis and x-axis. (Default = 0 each, meaning an aura like glow thing).
BLUR OPACITY
How visiable you want the glow to be. (Default = 5)
I'll post more on PdN later. Gotta do HW.

Got Different Glow?
Now, I'm not sure if you need Pyrochild's plugins with this one.
I think it's someone elses. (I can't remember - Sorry!)
Here's how to do this:
Do as the first post said.
Paste the image + remove background.
Go to 'Effects'.
Then, go to 'Photo'.
Click 'Glow'.
I would say just go with the default ones, unless you want to try something else.
And that's that~

Recolouring a Different, Quicker way. [One]
Yo~
Here's how to recolour a quicker way (one colour)
Find a Pokemon sprite and paste it.
Find 'Adjustments'.
Adjustments can be found LEFT of Effects.
Go down and find 'Monochrome Ink on Paper'.
Select the colour.
...
